There are differences between growing indoor and outdoor plants, such as lighting. The indoor crop will need special lighting setup and then there is the outdoor weed crop that will have natural sunlight.
Water is another difference, the outdoor crop will depend on the rain for watering or what the grower can carry in to the crop.
The indoor weed crop can easily be watered and monitored because it is right there and there is no need to carry water.
The outdoor crop will mean finding the right location that is off the beaten path, but convenient for the grower to check on it.
